I’m Bob – A matchday sports photographer.
I fell for football as a young kid watching my big brother play Sunday-league, and that’s where I learned to love the game. The first teams I ever supported were named after pubs, not towns.
Now I work close to the action: non-league, grassroots and youth. I try to stay with the moments that carry meaning — the build-up before a run, the effort in a tackle, the shared look after a goal.
Football first
Football is where most of my work lives: non-league, grassroots and youth. I’m on the touchline most weekends, working with clubs who care about what they’re building on and off the pitch.
My job is to give them images that feel honest to their level of the game — nothing staged, nothing over-dramatised, just football as it feels.
When the football season pauses, I keep working across other sports — cricket, dragon boat racing, golf and I particularly love baseball. The tempo changes, but the idea is the same: timing, connection, and a feel for how people care about what they’re doing.

Credentials, safeguarding & licensing
Fully insured and DBS checked, I work with clubs, schools and community organisations who need reliable, repeatable coverage.
For youth and academy games, galleries are private and password-protected by default. Images of children are shared carefully, with consent and safeguarding in mind.
I’m also licensed by the National League to work at their fixtures, alongside my regular non-league and grassroots coverage.
Some of the games I shoot are covered on a voluntary or low-fee basis so that grassroots football and community sport have a visual record.
